Here’s the projected top four teams for the College Football Playoff after Week 5 of the season.

Week 5 of the college football season is officially in the books. It’s a week that saw two tops go down, while two others took their place. It has set the landscape for the remainder of the college football season. The only thing left is to see how it all plays out from here.

When it comes to the College Football Playoff, two big games really set the stage for the rest of the season. The Washington Huskies and Clemson Tigers each came up with two huge wins at home and now have firmly planted themselves in the playoff chase. The Ohio State Buckeyes and Alabama Crimson Tide clearly remained the top two teams after big wins on Saturday. Here’s a projected College Football Playoff after Week 5.

The first thing that jumps to mind is how great both of these contests would be. Nick Saban taking on Chris Petersen and Ohio State battling Clemson. If those were the two games in the playoff, football fans everywhere should be excited.

Now, these teams have to do their job and get through the season unscathed, but their chances all look great now. With Week 6 on tap, the season is really beginning to hit its stride. One can only imagine what is in store for next week.
