The Alabama Crimson Tide get a huge commitment for the 2017 recruiting class, as they were able to land five-star linebacker Dylan Moses from IMG Academy.
The Alabama Crimson Tide are the No. 1 team in the nation for yet another week after crushing the Kentucky Wildcats, 34-6 in Week 5. Alabama continues to impress on the field and continues to dominate in recruitment.
According to Drew Champlin of AL.com, the Crimson Tide have landed five-star linebacker Dylan Moses as their most recent commitment to the 2017 recruiting class. Moses is playing his senior season at the IMG Academy at Bradenton, Florida.

Moses is projected as an elite outside linebacker, but also plays running back in high school. He was the No. 4 player in the recruiting class and many thought that he was a lock to sign with the LSU Tigers this season.
However, things have changed in Baton Rouge with their football program. The Tigers fired long-time head coach Les Miles after Week 4’s embarrassing loss to the Auburn Tigers on the road. LSU clobbered the Missouri Tigers, 42-7 to move to 3-2 on the year, but that was not enough to land Moses’ commitment.
Choosing to play for the Crimson Tide is probably a wise move for Moses, as the Crimson Tide usually have an elite front-seven under head coach Nick Saban. Saban is about as good of a recruiter in the college game and it’s not shocking that he landed another five-star recruit in Moses.

According to 24/7 Sports, Moses had an 89% crystal ball prediction to sign with LSU. Alabama only had a nine percent predicted shot at landing Moses. Had Miles have still been with the LSU program, it was very likely that Moses would spend the next three to four years in Baton Rouge. Instead, he has opted to play for the Crimson Tide in 2017.
