Ben Affleck can’t believe Patriots lost to the Bills (Video)

A-list movie star and diehard Boston sports fan Ben Affleck can’t believe the New England Patriots were shut out in Week 4 by the Buffalo Bills.

Movie star Ben Affleck is a diehard Boston sports fan. He grew up in the area and loves all things Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He wasn’t able to watch the Patriots’ Week 4 game against the Buffalo Bills because he was promoting his new film, The Accountant.

Affleck asked Sports Illustrated‘s Tiffany Oshinsky what the score of the game was. He realized that his Patriots were about to be shut out by the Bills in Week 4, 16-0. Affleck reacted like any crazed Boston sports fan would, and this video of his reaction is hilarious.

Even elite football teams like the Patriots will occasionally lose an awful game to a division rival. Patriots head coach Bill Belichick spiked a Microsoft Surface tablet to pieces on the New England bench in this game. It was the wrong kind of Gronk Spike, but that video and Affleck’s reaction to New England’s loss says it all.

It didn’t matter that Belichick had to start rookie Jacoby Brissett at quarterback in this game. New England was supposed to crush Rex Ryan’s Bills at home in Week 4. That was the first time the Patriots had been shut out at home since 1993.

That year Belichick was still coaching the Cleveland Browns, Drew Bledsoe was a rookie quarterback in New England, Tom Brady was still in high school, and Affleck was beginning to work on the script of Good Will Hunting with best friend Matt Damon.

It was a rough Sunday in New England. However, the Patriots are still 3-0, Brady’s Deflategate suspension is over, and the 0-4 Browns are New England’s Week 5 opponent.
