Things started out fairly well for Adam Gase and his team when the Dolphins took a 7-3 lead in the first quarter on quarterback Ryan Tannehill’s 74-yard touchdown strike to wideout Kenny Stills. But it was an uphill struggle from there and Miami never found its way back on the scoreboard. The offense managed only 43 plays for 222 total yards and 74 of those came on the Stills touchdown. Tannehill was sacked five times and was guilty of both of his team’s turnovers. The Dolphins’ ground attack managed a mere 62 yards on just 13 carries and Miami was a disappointing 2-of-11 on third-down conversion attempts.
Next Week: Miami returns home to face rejuvenated running back DeMarco Murray, quarterback Marcus Mariota and the Tennessee Titans, who themselves are coming off a road game (at Houston) as well. In Week 6 last season, the Dolphins rolled into Nashville and came away with a resounding 38-10 victory over the Titans.

Playoff hopes: It hasn’t taken long for Gase and the Dolphins to dig themselves quite a hole, although on the positive side of things they still have five games left with their AFC East rivals. We’ll see if Miami can make up some ground as they play their next four games at home (Titans, Steelers, Bills, Off, Jets).
. 1-3. Previous: . Miami Dolphins. 28. team. 59
