One Toronto Blue Jays fan tried to give his team an extra assist by throwing a bottle at Baltimore Orioles outfielder Hyun-Soo Kim.
The Toronto Blue Jays fans haven’t been exactly making the best name for themselves in the past two postseasons. Whether it’s their lack of postseason success in major sports in Toronto or their passion for the game, they sometimes don’t make the best choices. On Tuesday night, one fan in particular was just dumb.
As a ball was hit to the deepest part out of the outfield, Baltimore Orioles outfielder Hyun-Soo Kim got right under the ball. Just as he went to catch it, one fan fired a bottle right past his head. Fortunately, Kim was able to catch the ball.
After the play, the Orioles’ Adam Jones got hot with the crowd and began yelling at them and pointing fingers. He had to be subdued by an umpire, as manager Buck Showalter ran out on the field to find out what was going on.

Simply put, the actions of one don’t reflect well on anyone. Fans can’t be throwing things on the field and those that do will be subject to ejection and arrest. Toronto has a rowdy atmosphere, but it was a bit too much in the Wild Card battle.
Not sure what was shown on TV but the scene here at the Rogers Centre is madness and people are yelling racial slurs at Kim and Jones.

Guy behind me just shouted "go back to your country Kim" in case you are wondering how the night has progressed here in Toronto.

If things weren’t ugly enough, racial slurs were reportedly yelled at Jones and Kim after the incident. That probably also was a big reason for Jones going off on the fans from the field.
