Week 6 kicks off early this week with a Wednesday match-up between Georgia Southern and Arkansas State.

The NL Wild Card game featuring the San Francisco Giants and New York Mets may be on the minds of most sports fan tonight, but there’s some ball to play in State University, Arkansas.

With their recent loss to MAC favorite, Western Michigan, Georgia Southern hopes to rebound and gain its fourth win against Arkansas State, who sits winless under coach Blake Anderson.

An annual treat of Georgia Southern is its ground game and this year, it’s no different. Four backs, including veteran Matt Breida, average 200 yards and two touchdowns; whereas Arkansas State’s Warren Wand leads the team with 228 yards and a TD.

Week 6 has a hard act to follow, though.

Michigan-Wisconsin proved to be a yawn, even though both were favored to exceed 21 points. And the chaos that ensued between the Louisville-Clemson and Tennessee-Georgia games were just reasons to fall in love with the madness before it’s even March.

This week, some of the oldest rivalries in college football will be revisited, including Florida State-Miami (8 ET, ABC) and Oklahoma-Texas (noon, FS1). Other Week 6 competition, like Coach O’s LSU Tigers taking on Florida, might be interrupted by Hurricane Matthew.

How ever Mother Nature decides to pan out over the next few days, the Week 6 season carries on with the voices inside the press box. That said, here’s the line-up of announcers for Week 6, brought to you by Eye on Sky and Air Sports. (Let’s hope Mack Brown doesn’t ditch his post when he calls Clemson-Boston College.)
