20. Dallas Cowboys

CB. Iowa. Desmond King . 20. player. 123. Hats off to the coaching job done by Jason Garrett, Scott Linehan and Rod Marinelli. Despite what looks like a severely depleted roster they’ve somehow managed to push the Dallas Cowboys to a 3-1 start. Now they get some reinforcements back with Demarcus Lawrence returning from suspension. Whether they can keep this momentum up with Dak Prescott or if they’re about to hit a wall is the big questions.
Either way the team has some serious questions to answer regarding their secondary. It’s been covered up the past couple weeks by a consistent, ball control offense but there are certainly holes. Brandon Carr and Morris Claiborne are functional at cornerback but hardly what one would call proficient. Marinelli always preaches turnovers from that group and aside from a few isolated instances, they haven’t gotten it done.

Desmond King certainly would. At least based on his history at Iowa. He had eight interceptions in 2015 for them, and that is why opponents have tried to steer clear of him this year. He has the aggressive, attacking mentality and toughness that the Cowboys look for in that scheme. Give him a pass rush to play behind and there’s a good chance he’s going to produce some big plays.
