36. The Seattle Seahawks remain one of the most talented and most dangerous teams in the NFL. They have a young quarterback in Russell Wilson who has come into his own and an assortment of underrated weapons around him. However, as usual this is a team defined by their defense. Week after week opponents just can’t figure out how to attack them consistently. Such things happen when there is talent at every level. So why in the world would the Seahawks bother drafting more players high on that side of the ball? Simple. That’s how great defenses stay great. A constant flow of young talent.

It’s something many other teams have never figured out. Don’t expect Seattle to fall on that land mind. This is why they take Zach Cunningham. He may come from Vanderbilt but this young man is a playmaker. He’s got the size and aggressive mentality Pete Carroll likes, not to mention being a plus athlete who can be all over the field. He’s effective as a blitzer, swallows up ball carriers and has the chops to drop back into coverage. Finding him a place on the starting roster will be difficult, but if he’s as good as he looks then he’ll make it out there. It would be just a matter of time.
. LB. Vanderbilt.
