7. New York Jets

Leonard Fournette . 7. player. 30. Seems the Ryan Fitzpatrick love affair is at an end. One could say it ended that cold night against Buffalo last season. The New York Jets are starting down the barrel at a 1-3 start and their schedule doesn’t get any easier. Already people have wondered if it’s about time to start trying out some of the younger guys like Bryce Petty, Geno Smith or Christian Hackenberg. Just to see what they have for the future.
Odds are though that the Jets might not get high enough in the 1st round to get a guy they can start over with. If that happens the team must find a way to help one of the young guys they have assume the mantle. That means running the football. Matt Forte was always a temporary stopgap at 30 years old. The Jets are in a position here to get a legitimate three-down back they can feed 20-30 times a game.

Lo and behold they get the best one to come out of college since Adrian Peterson. LSU star Leonard Fournette is the real deal. He’s a big back with power but possesses that oh-so-rare athleticism and breakaway speed guys that size shouldn’t have. It’s why teams have to sell out every week just to slow him down, never mind stop him. If he ever gets any kind of decent quarterback play, he will become a living, breathing nightmare for opponents.
. RB. LSU
