The latest betting odds, trends and more for this Sunday Night Football matchup between the Green Bay Packers and the New York Giants.

The 2-1 Green Bay Packers host the 2-2 New York Giants on Sunday Night Football as part of the NFL Week 5 slate. Both teams are talented and possible playoff contenders in the NFC this season.

Oddshark lists the Packers as seven-point home favorites in this game. Aaron Rodgers and company are difficult to defeat anywhere, but especially at Lambeau Field. However, the Giants are a talented team who can compete. I am not surprised by the Packers being large favorites, but I don’t necessarily agree with it.

The over/under for this game is set at 49 points.

The Giants are 1-3-1 against the spread in their last five games on the road, but they have played well specifically in Green Bay. In their last six games at Lambeau field, the Giants are 5-1 against the spread.

As for the trends with the Packers, they are 15-3 in their last 18 games straight up at home. However, they are 2-4 in their last six against the spread at home. Also, the total has gone UNDER in six of the Packers’ last seven games at Lambeau field.

Taking the points with New York and the under both seem like strong bets according to the trends.

The Giants’ secondary can be exploited. Will Aaron Rodgers be able to take advantage, or will the Giants’ pass rush be too much to handle? The Giants will unlikely be able to run the ball much against Green Bay, but can Eli Manning and Odell Beckham do enough against their secondary?

These are two extremely talented teams who will make some noise in the NFC this season. Being on the Sunday Night Football stage makes it feel even more important.
