The SEC East battle featuring Georgia and South Carolina will move from Saturday to Sunday due to the weather.
The South Carolina Gamecocks week six SEC showdown against the Georgia Bulldogs will still go on, but at a later date. South Carolina head coach Will Muschamp stated the team’s home game is on for Sunday. As of now, the time yet to be determined. This news comes after the game between LSU and Florida was canceled due to Hurricane Matthew.

Before announcing the move to Sunday, the SEC East contest was scheduled for Saturday night. While it was expected to be an exceptional atmosphere in William-Brice Stadium, the two schools will get to play on Sunday like the pros in the NFL.
Despite the issues with the weather, it didn’t change the prediction of the football game. Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs still enter the game as a favorite. Georgia will look to bounce back from a heart-breaking loss last weekend against the Tennessee Volunteers.
For the Gamecocks, they are attempting to get back on the winning track after losing back-to-back games to the Ole Miss Rebels and the Aggies of Texas A&M.

South Carolina will need their home crowd to give them a heavy dose energy as they feature a bottom-feeder offense. In five games they have yet to score over twenty points. With Georgia giving up 79 points in the past two games, it’s likely they could surpass twenty, but that wouldn’t necessary guarantee victory.
While it’s out of the norm for college football to occur on a Sunday, fans will still get a chance to root their team in spite of the issues caused by the weather.
