Game 2 of the ALDS will be streamed online by TBS in the USA and SN in Canada.

Game 2 of the ALDS between the Texas Rangers and Toronto Blue Jays starts at 1:00 ET, so more than a few baseball fans will be looking for a live stream to watch during working hours. Luckily, Major League Baseball and its broadcast partners have actually managed to embrace technology for a change. As was the case the past few years, TBS and SN will continue to stream the games online.

TBS allows viewers to stream the game by logging in with their username and password provided by their cable service. SN works similarly. So, if you subscribe to cable, you can watch the game wherever you are. TBS will stream the game from its flagship website, which can be accessed here. TBS also has an app which will allow for on-the-go viewing. SN, Canada’s premier sports network will stream the game here, but is not accessible in the United States.

TBS provides a quality streaming experience, and has also added several new features to its MLB coverage this season. The product that is streamed features the exact same video, commentary, and graphics as the television version.

Game 2 of this series will pit Yu Darvish of the Rangers against J.A. Happ of the Blue Jays. Toronto dominated the Rangers in Game 1, winning by a score of 10-1. The Jays were all over Rangers ace Cole Hamels early, plating five runs in a key third inning rally. It was the worst postseason start of Hamels’ distinguished career. In a short five-game series, Game 2 represents a virtual must-win for the Rangers before the series shifts back to the raucous Rogers Centre in Toronto.

The beauty of technology allows baseball fans the opportunity to tune into the playoffs in the middle of the day, and can even make for some fun shared experiences with coworkers celebrating a big hit. No more following along on a slow game tracker or radio stashed away in your cube. Just make sure to keep your mouse near the ever-useful Boss Button.
