Here’s how you can watch Friday night’s Boise State vs New Mexico game from Albuquerque online.
Boise State is experiencing some post-Chris Petersen success, and that’s all the Broncos can really ask for. Since the head coach has left, there’s been a sense of hope. Bryan Harsin has done a solid job in his place, even leading Boise State to a 4-0 record and 19th ranking in the AP Poll to start 2016.
Sophomore quarterback Brett Rypien is one of the top returning quarterbacks in the Mountain West this season and he’s off to a solid start. He has passed for 1,024 yards and six touchdowns, connecting with his top target, Thomas Sperbeck, 24 times for 431 yards and three scores.
Keep an eye on Jeremy McNichols in the run game as he basically is the Broncos’ rushing offense.
Despite having a solid offense, the Broncos’ defense has been lackluster, especially against the pass. That shouldn’t be an issue against New Mexico, though, as the Lobos are averaging just under 130 yards per game through the air.
In fact, New Mexico has shuffled between senior Austin Apodaca and junior Lamar Jordan and the latter looks to be the more effective passer albeit with a small sample size. Jordan is completing 63 percent of his throws for 129 yards in a little over a game and Apodaca has a 56 percent completion rate with 372 yards, three touchdowns and two picks.
New Mexico’s run game may cause serious problems for Boise State, though. The Lobos average nearly 350 yards per game on the ground with senior Teriyon Gipson leading the way, putting up 399 yards and five scores on an incredible 12.9 yards per touch.
