It’s time to pontificate about the slate of college football games on hand for Week 6.

The college football season is hitting its stretch run of the year. On Saturday, it is another big week of games that will continue to shape the landscape of the game. Last week, the playoff picture was altered drastically and their is a new outlook for many teams.

This week features plenty of big games with implications and there’s a good chance that the landscape will look even different once the weekend is over. This game might not have the two big battles that last week had in Stanford/Washington and Louisville/Clemson, but it’s overall strong from top to bottom. It’s time to break down the best games in college football this week.

5. No. 25 Virginia Tech vs No. 17 North Carolina

After Nick Weiler kicked the game winning field goal for North Carolina and tomahawk chopped his way out of Tallahassee, the Tar Heels have gained some momentum. This week, the Tar Heels are going to look to keep the good times rolling against Virginia Tech. Justin Fuente has got his team in the top 25 rankings and they want to stay there.

The ACC has been one of the best conferences in football this season and they have multiple teams ranked. This is a battle that’s going to go a long way in deciding which of the two teams goes to a better bowl game and brings in more money for the program at the end of the year.

They might not be playing Florida State, but hopefully Weiler has some form of celebration planned. His kick last week was one of the better moments in the program’s history.
