College Football Week 6: FanSided expert picks and predictions

Week 6 is here and the FanSided staff is ready to make their college football picks and predictions for the week’s biggest games.

This week’s college football schedule doesn’t feature a game with the hype like Louisville vs Clemson or even Stanford vs. Washington last week, but we have a couple of rivalry games and two big SEC showdowns on tap for Week 6.

Texas and No. 20 Oklahoma rekindle the Red River Rivalry with the Sooners seemingly recovered from a 1-2 start and Charlie Strong’s Longhorns regressing since an opening week win against Notre Dame. That rivalry game helps usher in the noon games on Saturday and we get a rivalry game with the No. 23 Florida State Seminoles looking for their seventh straight win over the No. 10 Miami Hurricanes.

We also get a top-10 matchup with No. 9 Tennessee heading to No. 8 Texas A&M along with ESPN’s College GameDay as the Vols look to continue their charmed season in front of 105,000 fans at Kyle Field. The SEC nightcap sees No. 1 Alabama travel to No. 16 Arkansas where the Hogs are hoping to catch an Alabama team looking ahead to games with Tennessee and Texas A&M.
