Here’s how to watch Saturday’s AAC matchup between the Cincinnati Bearcats and Connecticut Huskies online.

A pair of AAC teams will try to pick up their first league win on Saturday morning at Rentschler Field when the Cincinnati Bearcats visit the Connecticut Huskies.   .

The Bearcats are 3-2 on the season overall, but dropped their first two AAC games against two of the leagues’s top teams in South Florida and Houston. While Cincinnati was blown out by Bulls and struggled with lowly Miami (OH) the week before, it played Houston tough before a fourth-quarter collapse back on September 15.

Tommy Tuberville’s offense hasn’t quite been operating at the same level as we’ve seen in prior years, as the Bearcats are averaging just 25.8 points per game with a mess at quarterback. Freshman quarterback Ross Trail has struggled in two games since taking over the starting job from Hayden Moore with one touchdown pass to six interceptions. Meanwhile, former blue chip recruit Gunner Kiel has largely been relegated to backup duty, apart from a brief appearance against South Florida.

Things started off well enough for Connecticut with a 2-1 record and narrow loss to Navy, but the Huskies have lost back-to-back games to Syracuse and Houston. Bob Diaco’s defense has been solid apart from the Houston game, with junior cornerback Jamar Summers leading the way.

The problem has been offense, as the Huskies don’t have a lot of playmakers to work with. Quarterback Bryant Shirreffs has been asked to do a lot, with nearly 1,100 yards through the air along with 199 rushing yards and five total touchdowns so far.

Cincinnati’s chances of catching the Bulls at the top of the AAC East are slim already, and a loss to Connecticut would end any chance at competing for the division title. The Huskies don’t have a lot of winnable games left on the schedule, so a minor upset of the Bearcats would really help their bowl chances.
