Game 2 of the National League Division Series between the Washington Nationals and Los Angeles Dodgers has been postponed due to inclement weather.
Of all the matchups in the 2016 MLB Playoffs, Washington Nationals vs. Los Angeles Dodgers was one of the best on paper. Both teams have excellent pitching and hitting throughout their respective lineups, and the two are as even as it gets. And given how the two teams tend to collapse in the postseason, something had to give.
Game 1 saw a fantastic duel between Max Scherzer and Clayton Kershaw. It wasn’t a vintage performance by Kershaw, but he did enough to give his team a chance to win. But when they needed their closer to come up big, Kenley Jansen did just that by delivering a five-out save while facing the heart of the Nationals lineup.

The pitching matchup for Game 2 isn’t as sexy as Game 1, but it still promised to be entertaining. The Dodgers were going to send Rich Hill, who has been terrific for them ever since they acquired him in August. His most notable start was when he got pulled from a start while he was pitching a perfect game. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts revealed that was because he was on a pitch count, so we’ll see if they take a similar course of action in Game 2.

The Nationals will send Tanner Roark, who is in the midst of his best season. He has a 2.83 ERA and a 1.171 WHIP to go along with a 16-10 record. That being said, we should expect a very tight game again. Although it’ll be tough to expect a better contest than Game 1.
