The Alabama defense gave plenty of reason for opposing teams to be afraid of them with a touchdown against Arkansas.

No. 1 Alabama still appears to be the most dominant team in college football. The Crimson Tide have started their first half brilliantly against No. 16 Arkansas with a 28-7 lead. The Razorbacks were a relatively popular upset pick against the Crimson Tide. The defending national champions are having none of that, though.

Alabama linebacker Tim Williams gave his team a somewhat comfortable lead with a fumble recovery touchdown. Here is a video of how they took a 21-7 lead over Arkansas.

The Crimson Tide will certainly not be taking their foot off the gas anytime soon. Nonetheless, they continue to demonstrate why they have one of the most feared defenses in the country. Quarterback Jalen Hurts has also proven to be an extremely promising addition. He has scored all of the Crimson Tide’s offensive touchdowns with two rushing scores and a passing touchdown.

The Alabama defense has done excellently at shutting down the Razorbacks’ rushing attack. They have held the Arkansas offense to 18 rushing yards so far in the second quarter. All of these yards were compiled on one play by quarterback Austin Allen, indicating that the Razorbacks went nowhere before with their rushing plays.

The Razorbacks entered this game with a 4-1 record, but top SEC West competition is proving to be too much for them so far. It remains to be seen whether they can get back into the game. Alabama appears to be on even better track to defend their title if they can finish off Arkansas though. The Razorbacks still have yet to show signs of life against their conference rival.
