3. It’s time for David Shaw to jump to the pros

After getting manhandled by the Washington Huskies last week, the Stanford Cardinal have decided to roll over for the year. The team got destroyed at home by the Washington State Cougars, who not long ago got beat by Eastern Washington and looked like one of the worst teams in college football.

Well the Cougars are back on track and looking good. The Cardinal are heading the other direction and David Shaw has some decisions to make. He has the ultimate job security at Stanford because of what he has accomplished.

However, Shaw has long been linked to the NFL because of his past there and the type of teams that he runs. With Stanford set for a bit of a transition period, it might just be time for Shaw to consider jumping back to the pros.

Christian McCaffrey will be gone after this season and the Cardinal will continue their transition of loading up on recruits again. Outside of a National Championship, there is nothing left for him to accomplish. He needs to seriously consider an offer if a pro team comes after him.
