Here’s the projected top four for the College Football Playoff after Week 6.

The sixth week of the college football season was another fantastic one. Plenty of games changed the outlooks for teams and their coaches respectively. It also featured some exciting games and some rather strange endings. The impact on the College Football Playoff was decent this week, as one contender in Houston all but eliminated themselves with a loss to Navy.

While it was quite the week in college football for many programs, the teams at the top did their thing. All of the teams that are still vying for a playoff spot took care of business. While the first College Football Playoff rankings aren’t out yet, they will be soon. Therefore it’s time to project what the top four might currently look like.

Alabama is going to remain the top team in the country as long as they keep winning. They took care of business against Arkansas on Saturday night. Right now they would probably play Washington, so long as they go undefeated. The Huskies have been impressive and blew out Oregon on Saturday night.

The other game right now would have to be between Ohio State and Clemson. As long as the Buckeyes go undefeated, they are in as well. That’s not going to be easy since they have to play Michigan, but if they win out, they’re in the College Football Playoff.

By defeating Louisville last week and blowing out Boston College on a short week on Friday night, the Clemson Tigers would be the proverbial three seed, unless the voters see Washington ahead of them. These four teams and Michigan are the five best teams in the country and four of the five will likely be the College Football Playoff.
