A look at what happened in the No Mercy match of Rhyno and Heath Slater vs. The Usos.

On Sunday night, the WWE No Mercy pay-per-view would take place from Sacramento, CA. One of the matches set for the show saw Rhyno and Heath Slater face The Usos for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

The Usos returned to the title picture after winning a No. 1 Contender’s match. They faced Rhyno and Slater at Backlash for the belts, but lost, so this is a rematch to decide the best tag team on the Blue Brand.

Plenty would happen in this second title match of the evening. See it all below.

Rhyno and Jimmy Uso began the match. The former bowled over him with a shoulder tackle and a few sharp chops. Slater tagged in but almost immediately got taken down. The Usos would then gain control of the match.

Slater took a ton of offense, but Rhyno got the hot tag. He clotheslined Jimmy and hit a belly to belly suplex. This set up a Gore attempt, but Jey stopped it from happening. Jimmy hit a dropkick and tagged in Jey, who hit an Umaga-esque move in the corner.

Jimmy and Jey began systematically beating down Rhyno. They worked on his midsection and head, before going to the legs. Jey hit a few sharp right hands to Rhyno for a near-fall.

Slater made the hot tag and hit a neckbreaker on Jey for a near-fall. Jey then worked on The One Man Band for a near-fall.

Slater hit a powerslam off the turnbuckle. However, Jimmy hit a superkick and Jey took out the leg of Slater. Rhyno would stop Jey’s submission hold and wait for the hot tag. He hit the move for the win.

Slightly surprising that Rhyno and Slater defeated The Usos, who had plenty of momentum coming into this match. It seemed they were on a path to feud with American Alpha, but that may not be the case anymore.
