Looks like we got a Mass Effect: Andromeda release date

Thanks to Amazon, it looks like a release date for Mass Effect: Andromeda was released prematurely and it’s a lot sooner than we imagined.

The Mass Effect series is one of the most popular action role-playing series of the last few years, with all three games in the series being critically acclaimed. Since Mass Effect 3, which was released in 2012, fans have been wondering when the next game would be released or if a new game would even come out.

Then, at E3 2015, a new game in the series was officially announced. Known as Mass Effect: Andromeda, the gameplay seems very similar to the originals, but it also has major differences.

Some of those differences include a departure from linear gameplay and this one will be shifting the focus to an open-world setting, which will definitely work with a game like this. The game will also have a new set of characters and other gameplay features and mechanics that you remember from the previous titles.

We were already expecting a lot more information during “N7 Day,” which is scheduled to go down on Nov. 7 next month, but thanks to IGN, they happened to notice something on an Amazon listing that basically confirmed the release for the new game.

More on FanSided:

Apparently, the new game will launch alongside Dark Horses’ new comic, “Art of Mass Effect: Andromeda,” on March 21, 2017. The release date for this was already known, but we had no idea that the game would be launched alongside it.

Again, we’ll probably get a confirmation about the release date next month, along with some new details on the game explaining what exactly will be going on. But, if the release date is for early next year, then that’s great news for us gamers.

Until then, stay tuned for more information on the game since we should be hearing a lot more very soon.
