The Baltimore Ravens have been known to have great defensive players throughout the last 15 years, as guys like Ray Lewis and Terrell Suggs have wrecked havoc on opponents. Unfortunately for Ravens fans, Lewis is long one, and Suggs is starting to get long in the tooth. The team is looking for their next big pass rusher, and Dawuane Smoot may be just what the doctor ordered.

Smoot has an explosive first step, and has had the luxury of playing for one of the more respected coaches in all of football. Illinois is coached by Lovie Smith, who led the Chicago Bears to a Super Bowl during his time as their coach. Smoot has the kind of instincts that are rare from a kid his age, and Baltimore fans would love his motor.

The Ravens have had their issues on offense this season, and recently fired offensive coordinator Marc Trestman. Still, the defense has always been the unit that has led them to the Super Bowl, and they need to reload before it is too late. Prior to the season, Lovie Smith told Dawuane Smoot that he wanted to make him a first rounder, and the coach has done just that. Look for Smoot to land in the first round, with Baltimore being a perfect fit.
