Best college football quarterback born in every state

Michigan: Earl Morrall – Michigan State Spartans
Michigan has a rich history of producing great college football players. Jerome Bettis, Braylon Edwards and Andre Rison are a few names that every college football fan should be familiar with. When it comes to quarterbacks, there are two significant names. The first is Craig Krenzel, who led Ohio State to the 2002 National Championship. The other is Earl Morrall, who just about gets the edge here.
Morrall was born in Muskegon, Michigan and led Muskegon High School to a state championship in 1951. He went on to play for Michigan State from 1953 to 1955. His finest year was in 1955 when he led the Spartans to a 9-1 record and a Rose Bowl victory. Earl also finished fourth in the Heisman Trophy voting that season and was a consensus All-American.
He went on to play in the NFL and is considered by many to be the league’s greatest backup quarterback. As far as college quarterbacks born in Michigan are concerned, Morrall should also be seen as the greatest.
