Week 7 of the 2016 college football season will feature some great conference rivalry games. What makes rivalry games so exciting is that oftentimes you can just throw out the records because these games are personal!
A win over a huge rival can galvanize a team for a meaningful bowl or even a College Football Playoff push. These wins matter more and the losses sting more than most do. Here are the five games that you have to watch in Week 7 on the college football slate.

5. Stanford Cardinal (3-2) at Notre Dame Fighting Irish (2-4)
Though both the Stanford Cardinal and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are having down seasons, this is a must-watch game because it is one of the best rivalries in college football. These teams have met on the gridiron 30 times with the Fighting Irish holding a 19-11 all-time series lead.
What makes this game interesting is two-fold:
1.) Stanford may have two Pac-12 losses on the year to the Washington schools, but can still make it to the Rose Bowl. This is assuming the Cardinal win out and the Washington Huskies make the third College Football Playoff.
2.) If Notre Dame drops this game to rival Stanford at home, that means the Fighting Irish will fall to 2-5. Given that they have arguably the best quarterback draft prospect in the country in DeShone Kizer, Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly could very well be run out of town if he loses to the Cardinal on Saturday.
Kickoff from Notre Dame Stadium is at 7:30 PM ET on Saturday, October 13th. NBC will have the telecast. According to OddsShark.com, Notre Dame is laying three points at home to the Cardinal. Seriously, how is a 2-4 team giving anybody points? If you like pure dysfunction, this game is for you.
Pick: Stanford 31, Notre Dame 28
