Here’s how to watch Friday night’s ACC matchup between the Duke Blue Devils and Louisville Cardinals.
The No. 7 Louisville Cardinals will look to get back in the win column when they host the Duke Blue Devils on Friday night at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.
Louisville had a week off to recover from the tough loss against No. 3 Clemson on October 1 in Death Valley. The Cardinals are still very much in the playoff picture and have a manageable schedule down the stretch, but one more loss in ACC play could knock them out of the New Year’s Six.
Sophomore quarterback Lamar Jackson will look to add on to his Heisman resume after a terrific effort against the Tigers. In just five games, Jackson has racked up over 2,500 total yards and 28 touchdowns to lead the nation. While the stats are gaudy, Jackson can’t let up in the Heisman race with Washington Huskies quarterback Jake Browning hot on his heels.
The Cardinals have proven themselves to be a well-rounded team beyond Jackson as well. Brandon Radcliff is averaging over eight yards per carry, while linebacker Devonte Fields leads a defense that has been one of the best in the nation at forcing turnovers.
Duke has taken a strange route to a 3-3 record in what’s looking like a down year overall. The Blue Devils won as a three-touchdown underdog at Notre Dame on September 24, but have also lost to Wake Forest and Virginia in conference play.
While Duke’s success under David Cutcliffe has come on the offensive side of the ball, it is really struggling to score this year after losing quarterback Thomas Sirk to an Achilles injury. The Blue Devils’ best player has been senior running back Jela Duncan, who is questionable for Friday with a leg injury.
