North Carolina State Wolfpack defensive back Mike Stevens is able to pick off Clemson Tigers star quarterback Deshaun Watson for a defensive touchdown.

The Clemson Tigers might be the No. 3 team in the nation, but they have a tough opponent at home in ACC Atlantic rival North Carolina State on Saturday. On the first play from scrimmage in the second half, North Carolina State Wolfpack defensive back Mike Stevens picks off Clemson’s Deshaun Watson for a game-tying interception return for a touchdown.

Clemson has played in a ton of nail biters in 2016, but remain the only undefeated team in the ACC. North Carolina State is coming off a win at home in Raleigh over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the mess that was Hurricane Matthew.

Clemson is still probably the ACC’s most likely team to make the third annual College Football Playoff. However, the Tigers have some tough competition in the ACC Atlantic this season.

The Tigers’ two biggest divisional rivals in the Florida State Seminoles and the Louisville Cardinals are elite programs. Schools like North Carolina State and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons are bowl-caliber teams pushing for AP Top 25 rankings.

Winning on the road in Death Valley would certainly catapult the Wolfpack into the AP Top 25 in Week 8. They are playing solid ball for head coach Dave Doeren in 2016. Clemson is still likely the most talented team in the ACC, but the conference has many teams that can potentially upset the Tigers. Maybe the Wolfpack are the first team to do that this season?
