After fumbling the ball on the previous possession, Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Hurts completely burns the Tennessee defense on this touchdown.
The Alabama Crimson Tide are going with a true freshman at starting quarterback in Jalen Hurts this season. Hurts has led Alabama to a 6-0 start and looks every bit the part of a promising signal caller in the SEC.
After a fumbling the ball on a strip sack from Tennessee Volunteers defensive end Derek Barnett in the previous possession, Hurts takes it to the house on this beautiful rushing touchdown. It was set up by a great block, but Hurts made that play into an impressive Alabama score.

Up 14-7 at the 7:31 mark in the second quarter, Hurts rushes to his right to for the sensational 45-yard touchdown. The successful point after attempt would put the Crimson Tide up 21-7 on the home team Volunteers.
This is a huge rivalry game in the SEC, but is a series of lengthy winning streaks. Dating back to the 1960s, teams in the SEC rivalry series will win at least four games in a row before dropping one. Alabama has won the last nine meetings against Tennessee, dating back to Nick Saban’s first season in Tuscaloosa in 2007.
Next: Best college quarterback born in every state
Saban rarely goes with an underclassmen at starting quarterback, but seems to really like how well Hurts is playing in Lane Kiffin’s offensive system. He’s not the best quarterback in the SEC, but he very well could become that by the end of his time in college.
