Live stream and how to watch Southern Miss (4-2) at LSU (3-2) on television and online on Saturday, October 15.
It isn’t often that Southern Miss and LSU come together for a football game. They’ve played each other twice and each team owns one win: Southern Miss won 20-18 back in 1994, while the Tigers crushed the Golden Eagles 13-0 way back in 1951. Both teams will look to get another win this Saturday.
LSU got a much-needed win on Oct. 1 against Missouri with a convincing 42-7 victory. The Tigers have been struggling this season and their meeting with the Missouri Tigers came fresh off of Les Miles’ ouster. Whether winning the game was a nod to their former coach or the result of the new leadership under Ed Orgeron remains to be seen.
This week’s game against Southern Miss is an opportunity for LSU to get back on track. Despite the week off last week, Orgeron confirmed this week that star running back Leonard Fournette hasn’t even been able to practice on his injured ankle yet, signaling that he will not play this weekend.
Fournette’s injury woes started during preseason camp, and then he aggravated it in early September and was finally sidelined after the loss at Auburn on Sept. 24.

The Southern Miss Golden Eagles are 4-2 and are eager to add another win to their record. Their only losses this season come from Troy (Sept. 17) and Texas San Antonio (Oct. 8), but they had some key wins against UTEP and Rice.
Southern Miss quarterback Nick Mullens injured his thumb in last week’s loss to Texas San Antonio, but the current Conference USA Player of the Year is expected to start against LSU.
