Northwestern Wildcats kick returner Solomon Vault completely scorches the Michigan State Spartans on this outstanding 95-yard kick return for a touchdown.
Neither the Northwestern Wildcats or the Michigan State Spartans are having the type of 2016 college football seasons they wanted. Both schools are sub-.500 through the first six weeks of the year. However, Northwestern seems to have one of the best return men in the country in Solomon Vault.
Here is Vault taking it to the house on the Spartans for this impressive 95-yard kick return for a touchdown. That was Vault’s fourth kick return for a touchdown in his Northwestern career.
He wears No. 4.

The ball seems to skip right at his feet before Vault collects the Michigan State kickoff at the Northwestern five-yard line. Vault breaks a tackle, shakes two more, before cutting across the field for an easy kick return for a touchdown.
It was as if by the time he got to the Northwestern 40-yard line, he knew that there was no chance that the Spartans cover team was going to catch him. Northwestern was already up 33-31 in East Lansing, but Vault would seamlessly make it a multi-score game. Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio hated every second of that Vault special teams paydirt.

The Spartans were in the second annual College Football Playoff only a year ago. Michigan State has fallen off a cliff in 2016 due to so many players leaving for the NFL. Northwestern has been a top-25 program under head coach Pat Fitzgerald the last few years. The Wildcats aren’t making the third annual College Football Playoff, but remain one of the most dangerous teams in the Big Ten West.
