Louisville survived a Friday night showdown against Duke to move to 5-1 on the season. Their next two games have become a bit more intriguing, Virginia seems to be much better than anticipated and this weeks game against NC State should be interesting as we see how good the Wolfpack are after their defeat to Clemson in overtime.

Lamar Jackson continues his Heisman campaign and will try and build off of his 300-plus total yard game against Duke. At this point of the season, he is your Heisman winner. All that’s missing for him is that iconic Heisman moment.

So why do I have Clemson at No. 6? simply because they haven’t been as impressive as the others ahead of them this season. It was good to see Clemson play like Clemson against Louisville but as for the rest of the season, it’s been kind of just middle of the road. I mean, that’s not a bad thing, they’ve beaten who they’ve played but just like Saturday’s game against NC State it’s been underwhelming and unimpressive.

Clemson travels to Florida State in a few weeks and if they play like they’ve played a majority of the season, they’ll be traveling back to Death Valley with their first loss of the season.
