Texas A&M was off this week after a nice thrilling win over Tennessee the week before, now they’ve got to face Alabama. This isn’t the same plucky Texas A&M team that was led by Johnny Manziel back in 2012, this team is much more well rounded and better on defense. While Trevor Knight has led the offense to victories probable and improbable, it’s the defense that’s helped lead the way.

The leader of that defense has been Myles Garrett, this week Garrett and he Aggie teammates will face the machine known as Alabama. We’re through the halfway point in 2016 but Alabama is already showing rare form for an SEC offense. If the Aggies want to win, they’ll have to hold an Alabama offense that’s averaged 45.4 points a game. Good luck.

Washington’s tour of destruction through the greater northeast had a week off but their most fascinating part of the schedule is about to occur. Hosting a pesky Oregon State team, traveling to high powered Cal squad and then a trip to Utah in what might be a possible Pac-12 Title Game preview, the Huskies trek through the Pac-12 gets interesting each week.

One player that can keep that going is Quarterback Jake Browning. In 2016, Browning has emerged as a top Heisman candidate after many thought it would be Christian McCaffery that would be carrying the flag out west. Browning has thrown for over 1400 yards, 28 touchdowns to just two interceptions. Stranger things have happened in 2016 but among the strangest might be the Huskies northwestern revival.
