Liverpool face Manchester United at Anfield on Monday, October 17. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

The Premier League’s derby of derbies, Liverpool versus Manchester United, resumes Monday, televised in 200 countries with an expected TV audience of 700 million. The former superpowers are hopeful a win will announce their ascendancy while kiboshing their rival’s renaissance.

Liverpool look to break a recent run of four consecutive losses to United, including the last two games at Anfield. A Liverpool win would open a six-point lead over United and tie Manchester City and Arsenal atop the table. They could then make a serious push to establish their title credentials, as their schedule eases up considerably — other than finishing their season series with Tottenham in 10 days, the Reds will go two months before seeing another top-of-the-table team.

Liverpool will likely look to outrun and outwork United, continuing a season-long trend of running 11 kilometers more per game than their opponents. Their physical resilience could be tested: manager Jurgen Klopp has yet to decide whether Adam Lallana (groin) and Gini Wijnaldum (hip) are ready to play.

It’s good news on the injury front for United boss Jose Mourinho, who will have both Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Luke Shaw back, leaving Phil Jones the only player out due to injury. Good health is particularly welcome at Old Trafford given the club’s upcoming schedule: over ten days they’ll face Liverpool, Fenerbahce, Chelsea and Manchester City. A win Monday lets them to keep pace with Arsenal while gaining ground on City, Tottenham, Liverpool and Everton. A loss and the likes of Crystal Palace and Bournemouth are breathing down their necks.

It will be interesting to see how Mourinho approaches the matchup with Klopp, who has enjoyed the upper hand against the Portugese. Liverpool’s only league loss came against Burnley, who managed just 19 percent possession and three shots in their 2-0 win. Burnley allowed 26 Liverpool shots, but most were unlikely looks from long range. Absorbing pressure and counterattacking come as naturally to Mourinho clubs as breathing, but since last month’s defeat to Man City United have upped the tempo and pushed teams more, settling into a 4-3-3 with Ander Herrera in place of the slow-moving Marouane Fellaini.

For all Liverpool’s wondrous pace, they have yet to keep a clean sheet in the league and under Klopp have surrendered nine goals due to individual errors. Herrera seems the obvious choice. Except Herrera is, instinctively, an attacking midfielder as surrogate-holding-midfielder; there is the risk of him being isolated and overrun by the LIverpool forwards.
