Previous: . San Francisco 49ers. 31. team. 42. RECAP: A desperate Chip Kelly finally turned to Colin Kaepernick, who somehow overcame three shoulder injuries and several months on the sideline to come back Sunday. In his first start since November 1 last season, Kaepernick was 13/29 with 187 yards and a touchdown to Torrey Smith. He was also their leading rusher with 66 yards on the ground. That was all the offense could muster, while the defense allowed the Bills to run all over them with no NaVorro Bowman in the middle of the field. LeSean McCoy, who has a unique disdain for Chip Kelly following their time in Philadelphia, played out of his mind Sunday. He had three touchdowns and 140 rushing yards despite briefly leaving the game with an apparent injury.
Next Week: San Francisco will host the Buccaneers next weekend in what can only be a horrible game. The two teams have three wins combined through 11 games, and have questions on both sides of the ball. It will be a battle of the kickers, which points to a rare 49ers win.

Playoff hopes: To put it simply, the 49ers have absolutely zero chance of going to the playoffs. Sitting at dead last in the NFC, they have as much of a chance of making the playoffs as the Browns do finding a franchise quarterback. Don’t expect a Chip Kelly team to make the playoffs anytime soon.
. 1-5
