Outstanding wins

Not only is Alabama the best team in the SEC, it’s hard to argue another team over them in the Power 5. Alabama massacred Tennessee on Saturday in Knoxville, 49-10 for the Crimson Tide’s most impressive victory on the season.

Alabama played a complete game against a top-25 team. The Crimson Tide ran the football marvelously, had some continuity in the passing game, the defense was stellar as usual, and the special teams continue to score points.

Alabama got solid play from true freshman quarterback Jalen Hurts. The SEC doesn’t have a worthy Heisman candidate, but if Hurts plays well against Texas A&M on Saturday, it might end up being him.

Of course, Texas A&M has two potential candidates in quarterback Trevor Knight and defensive end Myles Garrett. However, Alabama is the favorite in this SEC West rivalry game. Whomever comes out on top in Alabama vs. Texas A&M will win the SEC. Alabama would be a No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoff. Texas A&M would be likely a No. 2 seed.
