Week 7 of the college football season is in the books, and a few players continue to dominate individually. Here are the top five performers from Week 7.
In another action-packed week of college football, there were some incredible performances across the board. No. 1 Alabama took care of business in a big way against No. 9 Tennessee, and No. 2 Ohio State was able to hold on against a tough Wisconsin team on the road. Houston got back to its winning ways against Tulsa, and No. 3 was given all that it could handle against NC State, barely beating the Wolfpack, 24-17.
Throughout the week, some individual players made their presence felt, and we list our top five performers from Week 7 below. While there are a few well-known players in the group, a couple of lesser-known players took the spotlight as well.
Here are the top-5 performers from Week 7.

The 2016 Western Michigan football team may be the best one ever, and they came into this past week’s game against Akron ranked in the AP Poll for the first time. At No. 24, the Broncos were riding high and looking to move up a couple spots with a big win against the Zips on Saturday. They got all that and more, and in their 41-0 victory, a new school record was set.
Running back Jarvion Franklin rushed 33 times for 281 yards against Akron, scoring once, while beating a 58-year-old record. Lovell Coleman set the single-game record back in 1958 with a 279-yard effort against Central Michigan. The dominating performance helped the Broncos to a convincing win over the Zips, as they moved up three spots in the AP Poll because of it.
Franklin, who was the first player ever to win the MAC Rookie of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year in the same season back in 2014, actually split carries with Jamauri Bogan last season. Bogan has actually been the go-to guy for the Broncos this year, but played a limited role due to an injury on Saturday. Franklin took the added load and ran with it, literally to a school record. Franklin has 795 yards and six touchdowns on 135 carries this season.
