2. Jalen Hurts has Alabama’s offense soaring

Alabama is averaging 45.4 points per game, which is good for sixth in the nation. Not to get ‘Bama’s offense confused with Louisville, but they are scoring at a high clip. The new-look offense has a lot to do with the freshman quarterback and of course, Lane Kiffin.

Scoring at that rate is beneficial when having a top-tier defense that only allows around 15 points per game. On top of the scoring output, the offense is averaging over 500 yards per contest.

As mentioned, his knack for finding the end zone—especially on the ground is astounding. Shockingly, he has more rushing touchdowns than Heisman hopefuls, J.T. Barrett and Deshaun Watson. Despite the fact it’s easy to compliment his running ability, he’s a solid passer as well.

Led by the Texas-bred quarterback, the Crimson Tide has become more than a one-dimensional team that focuses on running the ball. Hurts ability to hurt teams through the air and on the ground is damming for defenses to stop.

When comparing his abilities to the Alabama quarterbacks of yesteryear, he’s on his way to being in a class by himself. To point out, he’s so good, it’s hard to forget he’s barely old enough to go to a Rated R movie.
