2. Los Angeles Dodgers’ Production from Bottom of the Order

While the Cubs struggle to find consistent production from anywhere in their lineup, the Dodgers have been able to rely on the bottom of their order quite a bit. Specifically, Andrew Toles and Josh Reddick have been playing great.

Josh Reddick was a name a lot of Dodgers’ fans would normally cringe at given his dreadful regular season with them. But now, he is one of the best bats in their lineup. Reddick has posted a .333 batting average thus far in the NLCS and has one run with two stolen bases. He has yet to strikeout.

Andrew Toles has also been surprisingly productive. He only has six at-bats but has gotten three hits including one double. He also has scored two runs with one RBI. While the Dodgers still figure out whether Puig can be a productive player for them, Toles has risen to the occasion.

Yasmani Grandal’s bat may have woken up after his Game 3 performance. He launched a 3-run home run off of Jake Arrieta which led to the Dodgers offense exploding for 6 runs. Before Game 3, Grandal had yet to record an RBI.

Joc Pederson also added a RBI double in Game 3. He’s been having strong at-bats with nothing to show for them but may be joining Grandal as a bat that may get hot. His approach has been much better as games go on and Game 3 was evidence of that. He also flashed his speed by stealing third base.

The Los Angeles Dodgers offense seems to have gotten a spark in Game 3 and a lot of it came from the bottom of the order. Corey Seager, Justin Turner, and Adrian Gonzalez deserve a lot of attention by the Cubs’ pitchers but don’t forget about these guys as they continue to create scoring opportunities.
