ALCS Game 5 live stream: How to watch online
Game 5 of the ALCS will be played on Wednesday night; here is the information you need to live stream the action.
The Toronto Blue Jays are on the board in the ALCS! After losing the first three games of the series to the Cleveland Indians, the Jays produced a resounding 5-1 win on Wednesday afternoon to keep their season and World Series hopes alive.
Josh Donaldson brought the crowd to their feet with a solo home run to start the scoring in the third inning. Ezequiel Carrera plated a second run an inning later, Edwin Encarnacion drove in two big insurance runs in the seventh, and Carrera scored once more in the eighth after tripling.
The Indians offense was limited to just two hits. Aaron Sanchez bounced back from a rocky outing in the ALDS to allow only one earned run over six innings. The bullpen pitched three perfect innings in relief of Sanchez.
Game 5 will pit Toronto’s Game 1 starter, Marco Estrada, against Indians rookie left-hander Ryan Merritt. Estrada pitched well in Game 1, allowing only two runs in eight innings of work. Merritt made only one start this season, and is the consummate “crafty lefty.” The Indians will be making their second attempt at clinching a berth in the World Series.
