Benfica are an experienced European team, but they’ve struggled in the Champions League so far this season, drawing their first match with Besiktas at home before losing away to Napoli in their second. The good news is they’ve been in excellent form in the league, winning their last five, and the top two teams in the group, Napoli and Besiktas, square off, which gives the Portuguese club an opportunity to reassert themselves in the group. For a team that made it all the way to the quarterfinals last season, a group stage knockout would be a huge disappointment, especially in a relatively easy group.

Dynamo Kyiv have not been in quite such impressive form. The Ukrainian side have won only twice in their past eight games and manager Serhiy Rebrov is under increasing pressure. Dynamo will be confident at home against a side that needs to travel over 2500 miles for this match, but Benfica have more experience and more talent.
