College Football Picks Against The Spread October 20-21

College Football can be a fickle beast. It is still easier to pick against the spread than the NFL, but when you pick every game, it can get tough. I had a better week last week, but I still have a big hole to dig myself out of. It starts with six more games tonight and tomorrow as we venture into week eight of the college football season.

More from College Football Odds

Sunday through Friday, I am the perfect husband.  No really, I am.  You can ask the boss a.k.a. my wife.  I help with all of the household chores, walk the dogs, cook meals, all that good stuff that women love.  Come Saturday, my wife hates me.  This is MY day.  I become one with the couch.  Just another piece of immovable furniture. Why am I interested in so many games?  Other than the fact that I love college football, here is why:  I was possessed by Jimmy The Greek and Lee Corso at the same time!

In case you don’t know what I do here, I pick every college football game of the season. Against the spread. Trust me, it’s not as easy as it sounds! I take the average of the odds from all of the Vegas casinos. I then round to the nearest half. There will be no ties here. Ties are for the other football (soccer).

This contains the picks for FBS vs. FBS game only. It is too hard to get an accurate spread on teams that involve 1-AA teams.

I will assign a point value “bet” on each game, between one and five points. That way you can see just how confident I am in each pick. Look for those at the end of each line.

This is for entertainment purposes only! I cannot be responsible for you losing any of your worldly possessions (or limbs) because of my picks. These are a guideline that you can use to help you with your picks. I am a simple man. I can’t have that on my conscience.

There are 54 college football games this week, making it another big week with a chance to make up some ground. Six of the games are tonight and tomorrow. Lets get to those games!

Miami(FL) at Virginia Tech(-5.5)(2): Virginia Tech just got bullied by Syracuse. I know the Hokies are capable of covering this, but I doubt they do. Give me Miami.

Troy(-8.5) at South Alabama(1): There is no sense in putting big points on this line. South Alabama has been a force at home and awful on the road. I think that holds true. Give me USA at home.

BYU at (19)Boise State(-7.5)(2): There should be plenty of action on this one. This looks like a trap game for Boise, but they are really starting to hit their stride on offense. Is the BYU offense good enough to stop this? Many people think so. This line opened two points higher. I’m following the herd. Give me BYU.

South Florida(-6.5) at Temple(4): Temple is playing much better than they were early on, which is the only thing keeping me from putting more on this. Temple has only lost one of their three games by more than seven points. That was the opener to Army. They lost the other two by seven. Good thing the spread is 6.5. Give me the Bulls.

San Jose State at San Diego State(-23.5)(1): The Aztecs are a ball control offense, yet their defense continues to struggle at times. It’s hard for them to cover a line like this when the D has problems keeping the other team contained. This looks high. San Jose is really bad, but I though Fresno was too. The Aztecs made them look respectable. Give me the Spartans.

Oregon at California(-2.5)(4): This line opened at -3 and hasn’t budged. I’m taking the half, though I would still feel comfortable giving it. It’s rare that a line is the same all the way across the board, and I get it. Cal’s defense has struggled. However, Oregon’s everything has struggled. The Pac 12 revenge tour on the Ducks continues after being ravaged by Oregon for a decade. Give me Cal.
