ESPN College GameDay will be live from the Walk of Champions in Tuscaloosa this Saturday, as Alabama will host Texas A&M.

We are now into our eighth week of college football, and that means the eighth stop for the crew from ESPN College GameDay. This week they’ll be in the middle of a warzone in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, preparing for a monumental SEC showdown.

In the midst of all the college football action this week, the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide will host #6 Texas A&M. It will not only have a potential bearing on the SEC Championship, but also big implications on the College Football Playoff at the end of the year. And ESPN will be on hand to get you ready for it.

Corso began making his infamous weekly pics back in 1996 prior to an Ohio State/Penn State game in Columbus. He picked OSU’s “Brutus Buckeye” mascot headgear as his selection. Since then, he holds a record of 188-95 in his predictions. This week’s pick will be his 283rd overall, and he has picked Alabama (24 times) more than any other team. Of those 24, the Crimson Tide have gone on to win 16 games. This year, he is 5-2 and is on a three-game winning streak.

Which mascot head will Lee Corso put on this week, as he makes his weekly prediction? Will he go with the home team and favored Crimson Tide, or will he stand behind Trevor Knight and the Aggies? Knight is very familiar with Alabama, as he put up four touchdowns and 348 passing yards against them in the 2014 Sugar Bowl. He was a member of the Oklahoma Sooners at the time, but he knows full well what they are capable of.

The Aggies are 6-0, but haven’t started a season with seven straight wins since 1994. So a win on the road against arguably the best team in the country would be a monumental upset. A loss could torch their hopes of a possible national championship. For the record, Texas A&M is 2-11 against top-ranked teams. And ONE of those two wins came against Alabama.
