NLCS Game 5 live stream: How to watch online
By Dan Israeli
Live stream info for Game 5 of the NLCS featuring the Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium on Thursday, Oct. 20.
The Chicago Cubs’ bats finally came alive in Game 4 of the NLCS after a deep, 18-inning slumber, piling on 10 runs to the Los Angeles Dodgers’ 2 to tie the series at two games a piece. The attention will now focus to Game 5 on Thursday at 5:08 p.m. PT at Dodger Stadium.
The Dodgers were powered by 13 hits, including two homers from their two coldest bats in Anthony Rizzo and Addison Russell. Rizzo (3-5, 2 runs, 3 RBI) and Russell (3-5, 2 runs, 2 RBI) carried the offense after going a combined 3 for 50 in the postseason prior to Game 5. Jon Lackey (4 innings, 2 runs on 3 hits and 3 walks) and Julio Urias (3.2 innings, 4 runs on 4 hits and 2 walks) both did not pitch deep into the game, a common theme for back end starters this postseason.
In Game 5, the Dodgers will go to righty rookie Kenta Maeda, despite heavy speculation that manager Dave Roberts would tab Clayton Kershaw with the start. Maeda, who has struggled in both of his starts this postseason, will face Cubs lefty Jon Lester, who pitched six innings of one-run ball in Game 1 of the NLCS and has dominated Dodgers bats this season.
Game 5 can be watched live on FOX Sports 1 (FS1), but can also be live-streamed online at foxsportsgo.com. Cable subscribers will be able to log into the website with their account info on both desktop and mobile devices. The FOX Sports GO app also supports Xbox One through the Universal Windows Platform.
For those without a cable subscription, there are other ways to watch the NLCS online. Check out cutcabletoday.com for options that include Sling TV (currently offering a seven-day free preview) and PlayStation Vue. Both services have access to FS1 nationwide.
