Verne Lundquist named guest picker for College GameDay at Alabama

CBS’s Verne Lundquist will be the special celebrity guest picker ahead of Alabama and Texas A&M on ESPN’s College GameDay on Saturday.

College GameDay will be live for one of the biggest games of the season on Saturday. The Alabama Crimson Tide will host the Texas A&M Aggies. The battle will ultimately put one team on the path to a playoff spot in the SEC West.

In bigger news, there has been an arrangement that will allow for CBS’s Verne Lundquist to be the celebrity guest picker on the show. The SEC football guru is an announcing legend and is in his final year. Seeing him on the show will be fun to watch and his picks will be great too.

Lundquist has been a staple of CBS for years and has been used in a variety of sports. Fans always like to rag on him and accuse him of being an Alabama fan, but it’s always because the Crimson Tide usually play the best game of the week in conference.

It will be a great to see a legend like Lunquist spit fire with the other legends on the show. The only question that remains is which team will he pick to pull off the win on Saturday?
