Lamar Jackson shockingly had another touchdown against North Carolina State.

Louisville’s Lamar Jackson has dominated North Carolina State on Saturday. He already threw two touchdowns and ran for a 36-yarder to add to his already large stat sheet for the season. This included 30 total touchdowns and over 2,000 yards from scrimmage through six games.

In general, the Cardinals have been all over NC State. This game could have been close, especially since the Wolf Pack almost beat Clemson last week. They had a 4-2 record and arguably were better than that. However, Louisville has made them look minuscule throughout the afternoon.

Well, this latest touchdown from Jackson will continue that cause. On their latest drive, he helped march the offense into the red zone. This led to a 16-yard bullet of a pass to wide receiver Jamari Staples to put them up, 41-0. The second quarter still had a few minutes remaining too.

This, and everything that happened in this game so far, just hasn’t been fair. Jackson is on another level as arguably college football’s most dynamic player. Everything he’s doing adds to his large profile for the Heisman Trophy, which is given out in December. Barring an injury or elite play from someone else, this award should be all his in less than two months.

There’s still 30 full minutes to go in this game. It’s out of reach, so everything will be garbage time in the third and fourth quarters. Seeing Louisville sit Lamar Jackson for the rest of this game wouldn’t be surprising as he would risk injury by staying in. Save him for the next game and continue moving up the polls. Given Saturday’s game, we may even see Jackson and the Cardinals in the top-five, pending what else happens around the country.
