The North Carolina Tar Heels face the Virginia Cavaliers at Scott Stadium in Week 8 of the college football season. Here’s how to watch the game online.
The North Carolina Tar Heels haven’t had the best of the luck in the 2016 college football season. After a disappointing season-opening loss, they looked to have righted the ship. Then came a horrendous game in Hurricane Matthew that resulted in an ACC loss. However, they’re still alive in theory in the ACC Coastal, but will need to keep winning. That includes a trip to Scott Stadium for a date with the Virginia Cavaliers in college football Week 8.
Tar Heels quarterback Mitch Trubisky might be one of the five best players at his position, bar none. Game-after-game, he’s proven that he could be a riser for the 2017 NFL Draft with his blend of athleticism, decision-making, and a live arm. However, UNC will be without one of their biggest receiving weapons in Mack Hollins for the rest of the season starting Saturday. We’ll see how greatly that affects the North Carolina offense.
For the Cavaliers at home, their 2-4 start certainly isn’t ideal. Quarterback Kurt Benkert has shown flashes this season, especially when throwing to Olamide Zaccheaus. However, inconsistency and turnovers have been a problem. Trying to match a powerful Tar Heels offense, Benkert, Taquan Mizzell, and the Virginia offense will need to avoid those costly mistakes on Saturday.
This game will be broadcast on ACC Network on Saturday, which means it’s only available digitally. Live streaming for the game will thus be available through WatchESPN. Log in online or through the ESPN app using a cable or satellite subscription to watch the stream.

At their best, North Carolina can look like a top four team in the ACC. However, against a lesser Virginia team, they’ll need to stay hungry and on their toes to avoid the upset. If they can do so, they’ll still be alive in the ACC Coastal division.
