Raiders at Jaguars: Highlights, score, and recap
Two teams that haven’t been to the playoffs in quite a few years collided in Florida as the Jacksonville Jaguars hosted the Oakland Raiders.
We haven’t seen the Oakland Raiders in the playoffs since 2002, which is also the last time the franchise posted a winning season. On the other hand, the Jacksonville Jaguars haven’t been postseason-bound since 2007, when Jack Del Rio was the head coach.
Del Rio is back in Jacksonville on Sunday, only as the sideline leader of the Silver and Black. His Raiders are a perfect 3-0 on the road this year. Meanwhile, the Jaguars have won their last two games following a miserable 0-3 start.
It could be a wild afternoon between two clubs many people had high hopes for in 2016.

Three Stars
1. Derek Carr
The Raiders scored a season-low 10 points in last Sunday’s 26-10 home loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. But the third-year quarterback is the unquestioned catalyst of this team, especially with the Oakland defense remaining highly unreliable these days. Carr has hit on 66.5 percent of his passes this season, good for 12 scores compared to only three interceptions.
2. Michael Crabtree
Nearly half of Derek Carr’s dozen scoring tosses have wound up in the hands of eight-year pro. Crabtree ranks second on the team with 31 catches and 365 receiving yards but has found the end zone five times. He should give an improving Jacksonville secondary fits as Gus Bradley’s team has to find a way to keep big-play Amari Cooper under wraps as well.
3. Chris Ivory
Now would be a good time for the lackluster Jacksonville ground attack to get untracked. T.J. Yeldon is the starter these days and leads the club with 176 yards on the ground. But Ivory is the kind of physical back that will really take advantage of an Oakland defense that is giving up the third-most rushing yards per game in the league this season.

Odds
The Raiders entered Sunday’s tilt with the Jaguars with a 3-0 road record this season but were 1-point underdogs at Jacksonville. The OVER/UNDER sat at 47.
Next Week
The Oakland Raiders are back in the Sunshine State as they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The franchises met in Super Bowl XXXVII in 2002, the last time the Silver and Black enjoyed a winning season. The Jacksonville Jaguars won’t have much time to prepare for their Week 8 tilt with the Tennessee Titans. The teams collide on Thursday night at Nashville.
