Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints will travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs in Week 7 of the 2016 NFL season.
The Kansas City Chiefs will welcome the New Orleans Saints to Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, as they look to continue their strong play at home. The Chiefs are 2-0 at Arrowhead this season, including wins against the San Diego Chargers and New York Jets. New Orleans comes in fresh off a high-scoring victory against the Carolina Panthers last week, and will be looking to run their winning streak to three games.
For the Chiefs, they did most of their damage on the ground last week, as backup running back Spencer Ware ran for a career-high 131 yards and a touchdown against the Oakland Raiders. Starting running back Jamaal Charles continues to make his way all the back from a torn ACL in 2015, and will likely have a bigger role this week against the Saints. Charles rushed for 33 yards on nine carries, while also scoring a touchdown.
The Saints jumped out to a 21-0 lead against the Panthers last week, only to see their leaky defense let Cam Newton and company back into the game. Newton scored on a 2-yard touchdown with a little under three minutes left in the fourth quarter, tying the game at 38. However, Will Lutz drilled a 52-yard field goal with 0:11 seconds left to give the Saints the win.
There is little chance that the Saints score 41 points on the Chiefs on Sunday, as they boast one of the better defensive units in the game. Derrick Johnson leads a punishing defensive unit that really stifled the Raiders this past week. Brees will likely have a good day statistically, but he could be racking up yards in garbage time.
Highlights
Highlights will be posted throughout the game.
Three Stars Prediction
1. Spencer Ware
Though Jamaal Charles is likely to grab a bunch of carries from Ware, he should still be in for a big day on Sunday. Ware is averaging over five yards per carry this season, and should see some open field against a weak Saints defense. Look for Ware to get into the end zone for the third time this season, and maybe the fourth.
2. Drew Brees
Brees can throw against anybody, and while the Chiefs are solid on defense, he should be able to move the ball well against them. He has a ton of weapons on the offensive end, including tight end Coby Fleener, who came up huge last week against the Panthers. Brees will likely throw for over 300 yards on Sunday, but most of it could come when the game is out of reach.
3. Jeremy Maclin
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith is not a huge fan of throwing to his wide receivers, but that could change on Sunday. The Saints have a horrendous secondary, and the Chiefs will look to exploit them downfield. Maclin should be the recipient of some long throws down the field, and he has the talent to make big plays all game long.

Odds
The Chiefs are a 5.5 point favorite at home against the Saints on Sunday. The over/under is set at 50.5, as the experts feel there should be plenty of scoring in this one.
Next Week
The Saints return home to take on the Seattle Seahawks in a big NFC matchup next Sunday, while the Chiefs hit the road to take on Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts.
