53. Hue Jackson’s squad lost quarterback Cody Kessler to injury and turned to reserve Kevin Hogan, who totaled 104 yards and a touchdown…on the ground. He also threw for 100 yards, was sacked twice and threw a pair of interceptions. But here’s a somewhat startling stat: The Browns ran 63 offensive plays and totaled 352 yards. The Cincinnati Bengals ran two fewer plays and rolled up 559 yards of total offense, a staggering 9.2 yards per play. Cleveland’s defense gave up 271 yards on the ground (9.0 yards per carry) and another 288 yards through the air. It adds up to 10 straight losses for this team…and counting.

Next Week: The Browns return to Cleveland for the first time since Week 5 and take on the struggling New York Jets, who did snap a four-game losing streak on Sunday in beating the Baltimore Ravens. It’s the start of a stretch in which Jackson’s club will play four out of five games at home.

Playoff hopes: Non-existent, to say the least. If Kessler can’t answer the bell next week, will Hogan get the start? The Browns are far closer to being in contention for the first overall pick in the 2017 draft than they are for any postseason berth. Not surprisingly, Jackson has his hands full with this club.
. 0-7. Previous: . Cleveland Browns. 32. team
