Official launch trailer for Titanfall 2 (Video)

With Titanfall 2 releasing this Friday, here’s the official launch trailer for the highly anticipated sequel based on the popular first-person shooter.

Titanfall was mostly well-received by everyone when it first released back in 2014. Joining the already stacked first-person shooter genre, which is dominated by games like Call of Duty, Halo, and Battlefield, Titanfall introduced a brand-new way to play these types of shooters.

Although it’s obvious that the game has taken inspiration from many other games and their mechanics (mostly from Call of Duty), the game is also very unique in its own right. Not only can you play as a Pilot on the a variety of multiplayer maps to take out other players online, but you can also call in your Titans, which are huge mechs that you can take control of, to wreak havoc.

As stated before, the feedback was mostly positive, but the lack of a single-player mode and the games exclusivity to the Xbox One were its biggest weaknesses. Its predecessor was eventually released on the PC, and pretty soon after that, the Xbox One version became irrelevant since it ran much better on PC.

Developer Respawn Entertainment are looking to learn from their mistakes with Titanfall 2. Now only will it be multi-platform game, but it will also include a single-player mode. Best of all, the multiplayer looks better than ever and it expands on everything that the first one did correctly.

Check out the official launch trailer below:

In Titanfall 2, you’ll play as Jack Cooper. Cooper must become one with BT-7274, his Titan. When the incredible speed and agility of a Pilot combine with a Titan’s brute strength and devastating size, none remain.

So far, the single-player looks like a lot of fun and not only does the story look interesting, but there seems to be various puzzles to solve, a bunch of areas to explore, and incredible visuals.
